Tie a Clinch Knot


A properly tied clinch knot is secure and is a great knot to use for mono-filament line. It is easy to tie, and reliable.

Instructions

(00:00) Step 1: Pass the Line through the eye of the hook, giving yourself enough to work with. 

(00:05) Step 2: You are going to wraps this tag end between 5 and 7 times around the main line depending on the line diameter you are working with.

(00:21) Step 3: Then take your tag end and pass it through the loop

(00:30) Step 4: Next, pinch down on the tag end, moisten the line and hold the main line.

(00:37) Step 5: Smoothly tighten everything together.

(0:42) Step 6: Take you nail clippers or scisors, trim you tag end and there you have it

(00:56) The Clinch Knot.
