(00:00) Step 1: Pass the line through the eye of the hook. Go through the same side as the hook point. Be sure to give yourself enough line to work with.
(00:08) Step 2: Go back through the eye of the hook again , so now you have doubled up the line.
(00:15) Step 3: Slide the hook down the line and tie a single overhand knot, making sure you don't tighten the knot all the way. You can use your finger to help with this step as shown in the video. Keep both parts of the line even when doing this by pulling on the tag end and main line at the same time.
(00:31) Step 4: With the loop you’ve just formed, open it up and pass the hook back through it. Wet the line and tighten everything in place by pulling both the tag end and main line at the same time while holding the hook. Be sure the knot forms neatly and locks down.
